When you think about the word ‘lock down’, what comes in your mind? An image of you sitting inside your house, staring at the same four walls, craving for a dose of fresh air? Haha, that’s what I always imagine. But is this really the only thing the lockdown has to offer?
I believe the answer to that is no. You see, we are so focused on complaining about the things we don’t have that we forget what we do have, things we should we very grateful for.
Have you been complaining of boredom to your parents? (You can say yes, because so have I. XD). But there are actually a lot of things you can do, all in the comforts of home.
Virtual museum tours, coding courses, art of living workshops – the list is endless. Well, not endless but you know what I mean. I’ve done all of the things mentioned above, and trust me, they are anything but boring.
Sure, that will definitely increase your screen time, but that can’t be helped. Or can it? The last time I checked, activities like reading, writing stories or painting did not include gadgets.
But you probably already know all of that, so why am I telling you again? Because what you may not know is that learning is everywhere, and in every form.
Try planting different seeds and watch them grow, or collect rainwater and compare it to your drinking water; the choice is yours. Explore new ways to learn, imagine and discover a whole new level or knowledge.
After all, if you think that the lockdown is just there to bore you, then think again. Or else you’ll miss out on this wonderful opportunity.
