Poet’s Note: Well, I tried writing a sonnet for the first time and it. was. HARD. But anyway, here you go 🙂

The Mind knows you mean well, yet the Heart cries.
Whether it’s honest truth or just advice,
One calls it help, the other calls it lies-
Then there’s the hatred brought in by the Pride.
The Mind is the only rational one,
The other two live in whims of their own.
Poor Heart, in reproval, searches for love,
Pride, however, turns you as cold as stone.
And so it’s a constant battle, you see,
Each time someone says something out of line.
Perhaps only on one thing they agree,
And it’s that you should stay out of their lives.
Oho, beware of the Mind, Heart and Pride!
Against all three, it is best to keep quiet.
