Today is very boring
It’s boring from the start
There’s nothing much to do today
I can’t even collect stars
I am sitting on my cupboard
All my clothes are on my face
And there’s a cat on the ceiling
Who ate my red shoe lace
Today is very boring
No fun, no games, no play
I can see birds outside the window
Who happily fly away
I close my eyes
And I start to dream
I see pretty mermaids
Who are eating vanilla ice cream
I look at them in wonder
My eyes open wide
As they dive into the water
And swim deep inside
I wake up with a start
In my world of no play
And I quickly mumble
What a boring day!

I wrote this poem as a homework from school. We had a poem related to this topic as a chapter and our teacher told us to write a poem on the same topic.
